View from Waimea. One of the most awesome views of the Mountain. On the left is the prominent cinder cone, Papalekoki. Note the horizontal layers (these are the internal plywood layers used to build up the form) - each one represents 240 feet of elevation. That means you're looking at approximately 9000 feet of mountain in this picture! |
